Daniel L. Orr II, Professor in Residence of Clinical Sciences, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgey … What a Joke

By Steve Barket So UNLV has this guy on the payroll; students beware. As I sat in this room waiting for more stories as to why my implants failed, I never got a response or a reason from Dr. Orr. I thought I was getting treatment from an established dentist; but now after thinking back about the other people in the room, were they students watching a science project take...

Dr. Orr DDS Las Vegas NV, If it Looks Like a Duck! (QUACK)

My opinion by Steve Barket Illustrated Las Vegas Nevada What’s that old saying? If it looks like a duck, If it walks like a duck, if it sounds like a duck …  Here’s the word: QUACK!           Make no mistake, Dr. Orr is a very educated man, not the typical medical person. He has more degrees than anyone I have ever met. But in the end, what is his excuse for the failing implants? He put one implant in twice, The only one that remains is at such and angle no one can put a tooth (crown) on it.  After all the pain and suffering I have personally been through, in my opinion, Dr. Orr and his placement of implants is...

“Dealing” With Dr. Daniel Orr, DDS Las Vegas Nevada

By Steven Barket Las Vegas, Nevada Dealing with Dr. Daniel Orr led to an unexpected 6-year trial of pain and suffering. And it’s not over yet. Not by a long shot. I shouldn’t have had to worry about rolling the dice with Dr. Daniel Orr. It shouldn’t have been a situation where I was faced with the luck of the draw. But that’s exactly the way I feel after having been subjected to his “care”. Perhaps I should have picked up some clues on that from his website (www.orrs.org). Note the dice, skull, crossed hypodermic needles and Ace/King playing cards there. I guess I should have known. Any character who’s got the kind of credentials he apparently has with that kind of professional projection on his website can’t be playing with a full deck … just my opinion. The scariest part about it is that he teaches students. If he’s taught them to perform their work like he treated me, there’s a world of hurt about to descend upon some dental...
Dr. Orr DDS, Las Vegas NV Four out of Five Failed Implants = Pain & Infection

Dr. Orr DDS, Las Vegas NV Four out of Five Failed Implants = Pain & Infection

By Steven Barkett Las Vegas, Nevada This site is about Dr. Daniel Orr of Las Vegas, Nevada. Dr. Orr has a D.D.S., a Ph.D., a J.D. and an M.D. That basically means he’s a butcher, baker and candlestick maker (kidding – he’s a dentist, a doctor of both philosophy and medicine, and a lawyer to boot). Perhaps going to a true specialist rather than a jack of all professional trades would have been a better idea. I didn’t want to roll the dice with this guy (to check out his website with the dice, skull and crossed hypodermic needles and playing cards, – just weird and hard to believe – go to orrs.org) and gamble with my health and welfare. I went with him primarily because of his credentials. And this guy TEACHES students his methods. God help their patients. Dr. Orr worked on my mouth to try to place four implants and four of the six implants failed. (See the image at right.) That ads up to a lot of pain and discomfort. I’m not sure what’s going to happen to my jaw in the future, it’s that messed up. Maybe the good doctor, doctor, lawyer, dentist, butcher, baker and candlestick maker should have paid more attention to my jaw, implants and teeth than worrying about how much he could promote himself on his website. I mean, just check it out: orrs.org. In my opinion, this guy must have some serious shortcomings elsewhere in his life if he’s so concerned with his own self-importance. (I think he left off the year he made Eagle Scout and what the project...

Dr. Orr site launched November 8th 2014 / Failed implants

By Steven Barket Las Vegas Nevada Dr Orr’s failed implants. This site is not about bashing Dr. Orr, its about the way I was treated as a patient.  5 failed attempts, one was replaced twice. The only one that remains is at such an angle no tooth can be placed on it. Please note the Implant on the right side has failed and been removed...
